What We Believe
List of Services
-
The BibleList Item 1
The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, and is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct. We use the King James Version in all our classes and worship services.
II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21
-
GodList Item 2
We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are equally perfect in every divine quality, and execute distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.
Genesis 1:1, 26; John 1:1, 3; Matthew 28:19
-
Jesus ChristList Item 3
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe He is God. We believe Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles and taught the very Word of God. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and soon personal, visible return to earth.
Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1, I Peter 2:21-23, I Timothy 3:16
-
MANList Item 4
We believe that all men by nature, choice and practice are sinners, but "that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe that in him should not perish, but have everlasting life," We believe those who repent of their sins and by faith receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour will rejoice forever in God's presence, and them who refuse to receive Christ as Lord and Saviour will be forever separated from God.
John 3:14, 16; John 5:24, 2nd Thessalonians 1:9, 2nd Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8:1.
-
Eternity
We believe in a literal Heaven, the eternal home of the redeemed, who will forever enjoy the presence of God. We believe in Hell, a literal place of torment for those who have rejected Jesus Christ as Lord. We also believe Hell will be the final fate of Satan and the fallen angels who will be tormented there forever.
Matthew 13:41-43; Luke 16: 19-24; Revelation 21-22.
-
Baptism
We believe in baptism by immersion after salvation with no merit for salvation in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Baptist is an outward expression of our faith in Jesus Christ and simply a public testimony of what God has done by his grace.
Romans 6:1-5; Acts 8:36-38; Matthew 28:19-20.
-
The Church
We believe in the local assembly, consisting of a company of professing, born again believers in Jesus Christ. This assembly associates together for worship, work, fellowship, and the perpetual observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord ’s Supper. It is the duty of the church to proclaim the gospel to a lost world. The scriptural offices of the church are pastors and deacons.
(Matthew 28:18, Acts1:8, Romans 6:3-5, Ephesians 2:19-22, I Timothy 3:1-13)
-
Eternal Security
We believe in the eternal security of all true believers in Jesus Christ. They are kept by the power of God and nothing can break that eternal relationship to Him. A believer may break their fellowship with God because of unconfessed sin, but not lose their salvation.
(John 5:24; 10:27-30, Romans 8:35-39, I Peter 1:5, I John 5:11-13)
-
Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the literal return of Jesus Christ in the clouds to take all saved people from the earth before the beginning of the Tribulation period. We believe in his bodily/visible return with his saints at the close of the tribulation period to rule and reign for a thousand years on the earth.
(John 14:3, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 4:1, Revelation 19:11-16)
